Subject: New shows -- Wed 21st July / Tue 24th Aug

Find you haven't been reading as much as you used to? Have trouble
getting through a conversation without checking your inbox? Spend more
time with your Twitter feed than your girlfriend? Surrender to the
future at the new Writers' Bloc show.

PLANET OF THE APPS explores a new world: stalkings via social media,
parkies cleaning up digital debris, and the implications of using
vector versus raster graphics in applied demonology. Expect
uncooperative system administrators, next-generation dating coaches
and a steamy extension to the Dewey Decimal System.

Bloc is trying (yet another) NEW VENUE for this show -- the
luxuriously appointed Ghillie Dhu on Rutland Place (opposite Frasers
on Princes Street). The stories begin at 8pm on Wednesday 21st
July. Entry is four pounds, two for concessions.

Also make a date in your diary for Tuesday 24th August -- Writers'
Bloc is making its debut at the Edinburgh International Book Festival
in the Unbound section. We'll see you in the Spiegeltent from 9pm.
